The Connie Jo Thoenen Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the life, service, and dedication of Paramedic and EMS Educator Connie Jo Thoenen. It is with great sadness that we remember Connie, who served with the Osage Ambulance District (Osage EMS) for 12 years. During her time in EMS, she served in the capacities of EMT, Paramedic, EMT Instructor, First Responder Coordinator, and Education Coordinator, handling numerous EMS-related courses and mentoring countless students. She touched countless lives through her compassionate service and dedication to emergency medical education. This scholarship continues her legacy by supporting future EMS professionals who share her commitment to serving the community.
The Connie Jo Thoenen Memorial Scholarship is offering a tuition scholarship ($1300 value) to one student graduating from Linn, Fatima, Chamois, or Belle High School that wants to pursue becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The scholarship can be used at Osage Ambulance District.

Eligibility and Selection
- Be in good academic standing
- Graduating from one of the following high schools:
- Linn High School
- Fatima High School
- Chamois High School
- Belle High School
- Pursuing a career in Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for helping and serving their community
Selection will be based on the applicant’s academic standing, commitment to entering the EMS profession, and demonstrated dedication to community service—reflecting the compassion, leadership, and service exemplified by Connie throughout her career with the Osage Ambulance District.
