Education Department

 

Osage Ambulance District provides initial and continuing education programs to meet the needs of prehospital professionals. We offer one First Responder class annually and will offer one EMT-B class semiannually. We also provide both BLS and ALS level CEU classes periodically.

In addition we offer CPR/AED classes to the community and other emergency services.

Missouri EMS - EMT License Renewal Core Requirements

EMT-Basic applicants who are wish to renew their Missouri EMT-B license must meet the following educational requirements.

EMT-B applicants are required to obtain a minimum of 100 hours of continuing education every five years.

A mandatory 48 core hours must be included in the 100 hours. The core hours can be obtained by attending (2) 24 hour EMT refresher programs or through other approved continuing education programs. The core hours must be in the following categories.

Core requirements are for EMT-B Licenses issued after February 2003.

 

Missouri EMS - Paramedic License Renewal Core Requirements

EMT- Paramedic applicants who are wish to renew their Missouri EMT-P license must meet the following educational requirements.

EMT-P applicants are required to obtain a minimum of 144 hours of continuing education every five years.

A mandatory 96 core hours must be included in the 144 hours. The core hours can be obtained by attending (2) 48 hour EMT-P refresher programs or through other approved continuing education programs. The core hours must be in the following categories.
